NBC has renewed station affiliation agreements with Tegna Inc. and Nexstar Media Group Inc. that will allow consumers in a total 53 U.S. markets to continue viewing NBC network content.

NBC’s agreement with Nextstar Media (Nasdaq: NXST) covers affiliations in 33 markets, including 29 Nexstar and four partner-owned stations.

Irving, Texas-based Nexstar operates, programs or provides services to 198 television stations, reaching 116 markets or 39% of all U.S. television households. It also owns a 31.3% stake in TV Food Network and operates WGN America, Antenna TV and WGN Radio in Chicago.
