Recruiting Mobile Engineer (RF Engineer)

  • Our firm GS is looking for an individual to provide Mobile Telephony Engineering services. This will be a minimum, 12-month contractual arrangement.

Skills:

Although we are open to considering any relevant skill set as presented by the candidate our preliminary thinking includes, in priority order:

• Deep knowledge in at least one category of “small cell” technologies
• Recent, hands-on experience with a major chipset and mobile telephony protocol stack
• Ongoing interest in, and broad knowledge of, all major chipsets, protocol stack providers, mobile technologies, equipment vendors, etc.
• Conversant with all major components in a mobile telephony infrastructure

Assignment:

Assist and educate members of our team in defining a working specification for a small cell device that conforms to our business requirements. Assume
a leading role in seeing the realization of the specification either through modification of existing components or through the design and
execution of a detailed technical product specification.

Specifics (more available after initial interview and execution of NDA)

Project covers all current mobile technologies in use worldwide Initial phases of project focus on North American technologies, specifically
GSM and CDMA. Major focus is in device-to-base-station communications for connection setup Project does NOT include voice or data connectivity
between device and base-station

Project is ongoing. Objective is to complete the project in phases as soon as possible. Resources will be available to hire and contract any
assistance or other resources required. Hire is immediate. San Francisco location a plus but not necessary.
